I respectfully request all records the Iowa Department of Public Safety withheld in the below email and records request response while utilizing Iowa Code Chapter 692.

The evidence supports that the Iowa Department of Public Safety, while under your leadership, coordinated with former Iowa Public Information Board Executive Director Erika Eckley while attempting to target and criminalize my service-connected mental health disabilities while possessing zero evidence of a violation of our laws.

I do not believe Iowa Code Chapter 692 is designed for the purpose of being utilized to cover up the state’s alleged violation of citizen civil rights. As a former U.S. Navy Cryptographic Technician Communications who served on the USS Princeton (CG-59) in the USS Carl Vinson Battle Group in the Northern Arabian Sea in the days after 9/11, my training dictates that the importance of confidentiality regarding securing intelligence data is for the purpose of ensuring the adversary, or in this instance people of interest, do not become aware of an investigator’s intelligence collection source or vehicle of acquisition.
