Evolution of Purpose

I dismissed my active court cases and deleted a 15,000-record database because I have experienced things in recent months that have helped me see and understand with greater clarity.

I feel a true spiritual calling to become a licensed private investigator who protects the innocent and those who cannot protect themselves. In order to do this, I first had to let go of all of my grievances and pursue this calling with spiritual purity.

For many years, I was stuck in a perpetual investigative loop that was not producing a healthy or productive outcome. For so long, I could not see a future, I did not feel hope, and I was unable to connect with anything except my work. Over the last year, I witnessed a beautiful spiritual light that slowly helped me feel alive again. I began to feel hope and see a future. I started to feel a desire to engage with life again—something I had not felt for a very long time. For the first time in nearly a decade, I felt something true, and it helped me understand what is important in this life and what truly matters.

It is because of this light, along with the leadership of Marshall County, IA and the City of Marshalltown, IA, that I am where I am today—building the foundation for what I believe will be the best work of my life.

Investigating the evil that permeates the darkness is as isolating and lonely as a moonlit night on the ocean in the middle of a deployment. I am truly grateful to the people who have been there for me.
