I am writing a letter to Pastor Post of Redeemer Lutheran Church to respectfully request that he mentor me as I study the writings of Martin Luther.

Pastor Post’s sermon on Wednesday deeply moved me because it restored a trust within my soul that was broken by the church I attended as a child and later returned to after retiring from the United States Navy.

I have only encountered one U.S. Navy Chaplain who significantly moved me in this way, and I truly believe Pastor Post is going to have a similar impact on my life. Based on my interactions with him, I believe he is a man of good spirit and character.

Everything is as God wills it. I am humbled and truly grateful to everyone who has been there for me.
